Days: Will's Story Good and Bad

Will (Chandler Massey) and Sonny (Freddie Smith) made love on Days of Our Lives on November 13 & 14, 2012. This happy event was overshadowed due to something else going on in Salem, Gabi (Camila Banus) fainting and then finding out she is over two months pregnant.

Will and Gabi had slept together weeks ago when they were both in a bad place. They had dated when Will was in the closet, but that relationship obviously ended. Gabi has found happiness with Nick (Blake Berris), who happens to be Will's cousin. Nick has been in prison, and that experience changed him by making his religious beliefs stronger, so he has issues when it comes to homosexuality.

When Will and Sonny were in bed, they were treated like nearly every other soap opera couple. We got numerous afterglow scenes and the characters were allowed to kiss on camera. While I appreciated that, I wished they had allowed at least one of the days with Wilson scenes to be shown on their own without it being played with the Gabi material. Some may say it is typically soapy to have one "good thing" happen when another "bad thing" is going on, but it could have been shown in a different way.

At least Gabi told Will what happened right away. She didn't lie and let people believe someone anonymous was the father. I appreciated that, but felt it was odd to have Sami (Alison Sweeney) as Will's mom be there when she found out about the pregnancy. Yes Sami was a teenager when she had Will, but they don't really have a great relationship.

So far this story has been predictable, as once Gabi and Will had sex, so many of us thought Days would make her pregnant. I hope there is more to the plot going forward. As Gabi is a religious person, I don't see her having an abortion, so obviously it isn't ending anytime soon. If the pregnancy is viable and the baby is born, we'll have the next generation Horton/Brady.
