Y&R: Thanksgiving repeat from 2002

This year, on Friday, November 23, 2012 CBS rebroadcast the September 5, 2002 episode of "The Young and the Restless". This episode featured Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) getting married yet again.

Sharon (Sharon Case) seemed to be a mess. She, Victoria (Heather Tom) and Cassie (Camryn Grimes), were Nikki's attendants. While Nicholas (Josh Morrow) stood up for his father. As Victor and Nikki married, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) talked to a video camera. She was talking to baby Abby, and admits that Victor is her child's biological father. Brad (Don Diamont) who is married to Ashley overhears her words.  Other people at the wedding included Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Jack (Peter Bergman), Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams), Michael (Christian LeBlanc), Christine (Lauralee Bell), John (Jerry Douglas), Paul (Doug Davidson), Kay (Jeanne Cooper) and Isabella (Eva Longoria), who all sat in the audience.

Elsewhere in Genoa City, Raul (David Lago) was in the hospital after being injured in a car accident. Mac  (Kelly Kruger) was upset over what Brittany (Lauren Woodland) did as she was drunk when she drove. The doctor came and both Mac and Brittany were sent out of the room. Thankfully Raul was able to move his toes, meaning he may recover.

I wonder if there was a larger meaning in choosing this particular episode. In current Y&R, Victor and Nikki are back together, Phyllis and Jack are living together now as friends (but during this wedding they were involved), and Nicholas and Sharon were having issues like today. Perhaps this is why it was picked or else they just wanted a wedding episode and there is nothing more to the decision.
